Pharrell and Adidas unveil three new NMD models

February 28th, 2018

The latest collaboration between prolific musician and producer Pharrell Williams and Adidas is designed as a tribute to Indian “festival of colours”, the Holi Festival. Pharrell and Adidas Originals announced three new colour schemes of the brand’s NMD model, adding a splash of colour just in time for the spring.

Two of the models include colourful pastel pink and purple tones, while the third comes in black with a hint of purple.

Just like with Pharrell’s previous collaboration with Adidas on the NMD sneaker, the three new models have a sock-like upper, contrasting white leather lining, a Boost sole, and of course, a bold text written across the upper.

For its part, Adidas made use of a new, powder-dyeing technique to create the colourful sneakers, making each pair a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece.

The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Holi Festival” collection will hit the stores globally on 16 March. However, the new models, which have the Tennis Hu PK and Stan Smith shapes, are rumored to have an early release in India only on 1 March to coincide with the festival of colours.

A pair of Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Holi Festival” would come at a price of around £180.
