Brace yourselves for winter is coming for the last time on April 14th! Ahead of the eight and final season of the HBO hit fantasy series Game of Thrones,
Each shoe in the collection features the BOOST
Here is a closer look at all six visions:
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “House Lannister”
House Lannister are rich, powerful and the current rulers of Westeros. Their sigil is a golden lion on a crimson field and their motto is “Hear Me Roar.”
The Primeknit upper is red, the Three Stripes branding is gold. Black hits are present on the tongue, lining, cup heel and the Boost mid sole.
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “Targaryen Dragons”
For “House Targaryen”
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “House Targaryen”
The second one Ultra Boost is all white, with cream and silver on the laces, lace cage, heel cup, and heel tag. The allusion here is to the Targaryens’ distinctive looks. Being an old noble Valyrian family, their features include pale, white skin and silver hair.
The “Fire and Blood” motto is present on the heel tag of both pairs.
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “House Stark”
House Stark’s colours are black and grey, so a dark grey Primeknit upper is combined with black lining, mudguard, Boost mid sole, rubber outer sole, heel cup, and Three Stripes branding. The motto of the house, “Winter is Coming,” is sewn onto the heel tag.
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “Night’s Watch”
The guardians of the seven kingdoms patrol the ice wall at the most northern point of Westeros. The Night’s Watch wear black heavy coats to protect them from the cold.
The corresponding Ultra Boost is decked in black and white Primeknit upper, which most likely represents the always snow-covered garb worn by the Night’s Watch. There are more hints to the snowy and icy north – the white mudguard, Boost mid sole, and outer sole. Since the guards are wearing heavy leather and armour, a leather lace cage completes the look.
Game of Thrones x adidas Ultra Boost “White Walker”
Тhe White Walkers’ Ultra Boost is dressed in white Primeknit, with contrasting black Three Stripe branding, liner, and inner of the tongue. The lace cage, heel cup, and mudguard are a translucent icy blue, owing to the Walkers’ frozen natural habitat.
“Winter is here” is written on a little tag on the heel as a wink to the fans who are well aware that the White Walkers come when the winter does.
The official release of the capsule is on March 22nd on adidas.com, the adidas app, and select retailers worldwide for about £136 per pair.
The latest collaboration between prolific musician and producer Pharrell Williams and Adidas is designed as a tribute to Indian “festival of colours”, the Holi Festival. Pharrell and Adidas Originals announced three new colour schemes of the brand’s NMD model, adding a splash of colour just in time for the spring.
Two of the models include colourful pastel pink and purple tones, while the third comes in black with a hint of purple.
Just like with Pharrell’s previous collaboration with Adidas on the NMD sneaker, the three new models have a sock-like upper, contrasting white leather lining, a Boost sole, and of course, a bold text written across the upper.
For its part, Adidas made use of a new, powder-dyeing technique to create the colourful sneakers, making each pair a truly unique, one-of-a-kind piece.
The Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Holi Festival” collection will hit the stores globally on 16 March. However, the new models, which have the Tennis Hu PK and Stan Smith shapes, are rumored to have an early release in India only on 1 March to coincide with the festival of colours.
A pair of Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu “Holi Festival” would come at a price of around £180.
